Water agents fire extinguishers: dealing with paper wood

Water extinguishers are used for type A solid fires: boxes, carcasses, fabrics, furnishings.

We need to keep an eye out for water extinguishers.

• It' s absolutely impossible to use electrical fire with oil fire, so it's only suitable for pure solid fire.
• Water agents should not be selected when there are plugs, buttons, appliances or boilers nearby.
• The rules of the Fire Services Department for licence-bearing foods often include 9 litres of water extinguishers, so that they can be seen in the dining room, school and public corridors.
• General 9L, approximately 56cm, heavy, mostly fixed.

VI. POUNDS FOR FIRES: APPLICABLE FOR LIQUITAL FIRES

Bubble fire extinguishers for type B liquid fires: gasoline, solvents, oils. Foams that are sprayed form a layer on the surface of the fluid to isolate oxygen and prevent recurrence. They also apply to solid fires.
